Barbara Dell, Executive Director of Dress for Success SW Florida, is pleased to announce that Julio Barina, CPA has joined the Board of Directors and will serve the organization as its Treasurer. A former Dress for Success Advisory Board Member, Barina seeks to deepen his commitment to this growing organization, which provides professional attire for interviews and work, career skills training, employment counseling and other confidence building services for economically disadvantaged women in our community.
Barbara Dell said, “With more than 18 years of public accounting experience, and – more importantly – a passion for the mission of Dress for Success, Julio is a tremendous asset to this organization. We are thrilled that he has chosen to step up to serve in this way.”
He joins the Board of Directors at an exciting time for Dress for Success SW Florida. On the heels of its glamorous fundraising event A Fashion Night in Black and White, at which White House | Black Market unveiled its spring line, the organization has also just announced the launch of a local chapter of its volunteer fundraising arm, Y.E.S, featuring a strong roster of young business leaders in the community. Additionally, plans to open a new Naples location are underway.
“Dress for Success is a dynamic organization that is always positioning itself to do more and more to help people improve their lives,” said Barina. “It’s entirely my privilege to do what I can to help build on that momentum.”
Barina has been a tax manager at the Fort Myers- and Naples-based certified public accounting and consulting firm of Markham Norton Mosteller Wright & Company since 2013, where he specializes in construction and service companies. He is also an active member of the Cape Coral Construction Industry Association and the Lee Building Industry Association. Barina also serves on the board of directors for Lighthouse of SWFL.
