SRMA Extends Manufacturing Employee of the Year Nomination Deadline

March 28, 2014 CONRIC PR

All nominees submitted by April 4 will be recognized at Made in SWFL show

The Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association (SRMA) is pleased to announce it has extended the nomination deadline for its Manufacturing Employee of the Year award to April 4. The winner, along with all nominees, will be recognized at an awards banquet following the inaugural Made in SWFL trade show on April 16. The Manufacturer of the Year award will also be presented at that time, for which nominations have closed.

The unsung heroes, however, are often those on the frontlines of a business. As manufacturing has become a top employer in Southwest Florida, the industry’s success relies on the strengths of its people. For that reason, SRMA wishes to further extend the opportunity for local companies to recognize employees who go above and beyond.

High-achieving employees of manufacturing companies in these departments are all eligible: administrative, production, engineering/information technology, marketing/sales and finance. The nomination form is available at madeinswfl.com. For questions about the process, and to submit the form, email Dan Allen at dan@srma.net.

The Made in SWFL show will take place 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers. To purchase tickets for the awards dinner, become a sponsor or reserve an exhibitor’s booth, contact Axol Ojeda 239-628-5850, axol@srma.net or Dan Allen at dan@srma.net or 239-898-1623. From noon until 5 p.m., the public is invited to attend the Made in Southwest Florida Showcase. Admission to the showcase is free with a business card, $5 without. The full program agenda is available at madeinswfl.com.

The Manufacturer of the Year award, the Employee of the Year award and all nominees will be photographed on the red carpet then recognized at an elegant reception followed by a gourmet dining experience and awards presentation. Local dignitaries and business leaders will be in attendance.

SRMA-logoIf you are a manufacturer, employee, job seeker, student or business professional, the SRMA’s Made in SWFL show is your best opportunity to connect and network with local manufacturers. A packed schedule of dynamic presentations from local manufacturing leaders, trade show, and networking dinner featuring the 2014 Manufacturer of the Year recognitions and awards makes this an event that should not be missed.
