Wells Fargo Joins the Cause to Help Disadvantaged Women Learn New Skills

Donates $5,000 to Dress for Success SW Florida

Barbara Dell, Executive Director for Dress for Success SW Florida, is pleased to announce that Barbara Melvin, the organization’s Board of Directors President, presented a $5,000 check earlier this month on behalf of Wells Fargo. Melvin serves as Vice President for the bank.

Barbara Dell and Barbara Melvin Check Presentation-LR“As Dress for Success SW Florida is expanding in the Collier County area, we are in need of funding specifically for ‘Opening Doors in Naples’ to serve disadvantaged, unemployed women in Collier County and a Career Center in Lee County,” states Barbara Dell. “We are fortunate to have such wonderful support from Wells Fargo.”

Barbara Melvin says, “Wells Fargo is enthusiastic about supporting women in their desire to enhance their knowledge. Their professional development also means area business have access to more great employees. Expanding the services of Dress for Success SW Florida into the Collier County area responds to an urgent need in our local community.”

Barbara Melivin picIn addition to serving as President of Dress for Success SW Florida, Barbara Melvin offers her time and skills to a variety of organizations. She is President of the Small Business Resource Network, Vice President of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) for Collier County, volunteer for the Small Business Development Center and a Vice President of the Haitian Coalition for Collier County. She is also a member of FGCU’s SBDC Advisory Board and a member of the Education Foundation.
