Attorney Keith Grossman Presented “Is Conflict Managing Your Business?” at Hodges University

December 17, 2012 CONRIC PR

Attorney and Mediator Keith Grossman, founder and managing partner of Grossman Law & Conflict Management, shared ways to effectively deal with conflict in  the workplace sponsored by the Frances Pew Hayes Center for Lifelong Learning (CLL) at Hodges University on November 13, 2012.

Grossman’s presentation, “Is Conflict Managing Your Business?” provided valuable information about understanding conflict within the workplace and the best ways to respond. The attendees learned a variety of ways to negotiate through conflicts that arise, and developed techniques for solutions.  Grossman encouraged methods to proactively minimize conflict and to prevent litigation.

“Companies who provide training for their employees on how to negotiate and resolve conflicts are instilling valuable skill sets in their employees,” says Grossman. “My goal is to provide businesses and employees with the tools to manage conflict within the workplace and in their personal relationships,” adds Grossman.

According to studies, unresolved conflict is responsible for up to 65% of workplace performance problems. Furthermore, 44% of managers report spending more than 20% of their time handling workplace conflict. Grossman’s seminar explained how to communicate effectively in the workplace and reduce conflict between you and your employees.

“Conflict is a part of all of our lives. It is impossible to live and work with others without coming across conflict in our daily lives,” says Grossman. “We are all diverse in our background, beliefs, and values. We are also diverse in our people skills and abilities to communicate, and our world is becoming even more diverse each day. It is this diversity that is making conflict even more commonplace,” explained Grossman.
