“Rather than showing up to take pictures, CI Weddings provides the total experience. We assist the bride in whatever she may need to make her day special,” says Kelly. “As a photographer, I really want to know each and every bride so that their wedding photographs represent the couple’s story and embody their relationship.”
Kelly Cortes discovered her love for photography when she was in the United States Marine Corps. While traveling for the military and visiting third-world countries, Kelly became interested in telling the stories of the people that she met there. After leaving the military and obtaining a degree in business from Albright College, Kelly opened Creative Imaginations Photography in Jacksonville, NC, a military community that embodies the spirit and true value of creating and preserving those memories.
Since relocating to Florida in January of 2013, Kelly has expanded her unique photography services to the Southwest Florida area. Her decision to expand and highlight her company’s wedding services came from her passion for telling human stories through her photographic art.
“When I first started, I became inspired by military weddings. The tradition and values involved in military weddings were moving and made me really want to focus on offering wedding services that went beyond just taking pictures,” Kelly adds. “My wedding portraiture style is unique and timeless, incorporating sweet Southern charm and creative edge for my clientele in Southwest Florida.”
