The law firm of Goede, Adamczyk & DeBoest, PLLC is proud to announce that Nancy Beaty, a paralegal at the firm was recently elected as Region III Director of the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) at NALA’s Annual Meeting and Convention in Portland.
Nancy Beaty is an Advanced Certified Paralegal at Goede, Adamczyk & DeBoest, PLLC. “I have worked with Nancy for five years and respect her as a valued member of our team. This is certainly a very impressive feat and we are all very proud of her accomplishments,” says Brian O. Cross, Esq., a partner with the firm.
Nancy Beaty has been a paralegal since 1985 and an active member of NALA since 1990. She received a Bachelor of Journalism from University of Texas, and in 1991, she earned a Master of Arts in Communication from Marshall University. Throughout her 28 years in the field, Beaty has been very active in professional associations.
In addition to her work with NALA, Nancy Beaty co-founded the Gulf Coast Paralegal Association, serving as Treasurer in 2007, President from 2007-2009, and NALA liaison 2009-2011. She also served on the Florida Alliance of Paralegal Associations as Board Member and Secretary from 2009-2011. Beaty is a regular lecturer for the Certified Paralegal Review Course and a frequent guest lecturer for Edison State College paralegal courses. She was also the editor of Paralegal-Ease, the quarterly journal of the Gulf Coast Paralegal Association from 2007-2012.
“I have served in nearly every capacity at the local level. I am excited to be able to now work at the national level with an organization like NALA which provides a valuable network of support across the nation,” says Nancy Beaty. “I look forward to being able to use my knowledge and experience to contribute on a larger scale,” adds Beaty.
