A Christmas Toy Drive for the Ages

December 16, 2019 CONRIC PR

What an incredible and fulfilling morning at Golisano Children’s Hospital. The CONRIC PR & Marketing team joined with six other local businesses to deliver an unbelievable 1,100 unwrapped toys to the wonderful hospital where children and families need some Christmas cheer this time of year. What a sight it was to see two big MY Shower Door / D3 Glass vans carrying most of the toys pull up in front of the hospital and then see employees from the businesses load the toys into carts and deliver them under the Christmas tree in the lobby at Golisano. Golisano CAO Armando Llechu welcomed us and our generosity. There were children with wonderful looks on their faces peering over a second-floor balcony to see all the toys piled around the tree. The toys were going to the Snow Pile Room at the hospital where families will enjoy an evening of picking out presents. We want to thank MY Shower Door / D3 Glass for organizing this tremendous toy drive, as well as the other businesses who participated: CONRIC PR & Marketing, Brown and Brown Insurance of Fort Myers and Naples, Audi of Fort Myers, Kindleigh, Two39 Work Group and Tommy Bohanon Foundation. What made this day even more special were the heartwarming words of Liz Larsen. Liz and her husband, Jared, the controller at MY Shower Door / D3 Glass, lost an infant daughter, Emma, after just 22 days, to a rare birth disorder. Emma was a patient in the neonatal unit at Golisano. The toy drive was organized in her memory.
