The Best 1-Hour Workout Program to Open its Doors in Fort Myers in mid-September

Orangetheory® Fitness, a unique and fast-growing national fitness franchise (www.orangetheoryfitness.com), will soon bring its original heart rate-monitored interval group training sessions to Fort Myers, in a new studio located at 11600 Gladiolus Drive, Unit 317. Owners, Bob and Barbara MacIntyre plan to open the new location in mid-September.

Orangetheory Fitness’ scientifically developed program has earned international success and media attention for its proven results. On average, members burn an estimated 600 to 1000 calories per workout, and the 60-minute sessions are designed to help clients continue to burn additional calories up to 36 hours after working out. This is what Orangetheory Fitness calls the “after burn,” and it’s based on physiology known as Excess Post-exercise Oxygen Consumption (EPOC). Sessions are led by experienced group personal trainers who oversee each member’s progress through heart-rate monitors. Bob MacIntyre has experienced the program’s results firsthand.

“At a typical gym, you may go through the motions, but the excitement soon wears off. You need a fun and exhilarating environment in order to stay motivated with any fitness program, and you need to see results. Orangetheory Fitness is that environment,” says Bob MacIntyre.

“When my wife first dragged me to an Orangetheory Fitness class over a year ago in Minnesota, I never thought I would be hooked. I have never been able to stay with any fitness program or gym, but Orangetheory Fitness is different. It is truly life-changing,” he says.

“I have lost 25 pounds so far, and can’t wait for the new studio to open so I can continue my health and wellness journey. My favorite part of the program is being able to work out with my wife. We kept each other motivated and much of our dinner discussion was related to our Orangetheory workouts, how many minutes in the Orange Zone and the progress we were both achieving,” he adds.

Bob MacIntyre was a member of the Orangetheory Fitness studio in Plymouth, Minn. for over a year when his Orangetheory Fitness trainer, Mike Huber, who is originally from Fort Myers Beach, planted the seed for him to open up a facility in the Fort Myers area. After a couple of trips to Fort Myers, Bob and Barb MacIntyre fell in love with the area and started to make plans for opening an Orangetheory Fitness in Fort Myers. In March with just the bare necessities, Bob MacIntyre forged his way to Fort Myers to get the business started.

Orangetheory Fitness Fort Myers is currently developing its membership base in preparation for a mid-September opening. Area residents are invited to visit the new location at at 11600 Gladiolus Drive, Unit 317. “We encourage everyone of all ages and abilities to come learn about Orangetheory Fitness and how the program can help you reach your fitness goals,” said MacIntyre. Special introductory pricing is available now for early member reservations. Visit the studio or call (239) 243-0730 for more information.

About Orangetheory Fitness®

Orangetheory® Fitness (www.orangetheoryfitness.com) is a one-of-a-kind, group personal training workout broken into intervals of cardiovascular and strength training. Backed by the science of excess post-exercise oxygen consumption (EPOC), Orangetheory’s heart-rate-monitored training is designed to maintain a target zone that stimulates metabolism and increases energy. Led by skilled personal trainers, participants use a variety of equipment including treadmills, rowing machines, SBT Suspension Training and free weights, burning up to an average of 900 calories per session. The result is the Orange Effect – more energy, visible toning and extra calorie burn for up to 36 hours post-workout.
