Our Origins

CONRIC launched in 2007 with the purpose of helping businesses, nonprofits, and individuals survive the Great Recession and empower them to thrive for many years to come. CONRIC goes well beyond traditional marketing to apply entrepreneurial insight and global trends to develop effective brand strategies, key messaging and visuals that amplify brands amid the constant evolution taking place in the business and consumer environment.

The origin of the CONRIC company name is the combination of the first three letters of the first names of our company CEO Connie Ramos-Williams and CFO Rick Williams who have been married since 2004. The name was intended to be used for their holding company and not the agency, but it became too quickly and widely recognized throughout the Southwest Florida community.

After a career in niche magazine publishing, Ramos-Williams launched CONRIC pr + marketing in an effort to disrupt the economic trajectory set in motion by the Great Recession. Unemployment numbers were high and new business start-ups were on the rise. Established companies found themselves in need of a brand refresh while the growing number of start-up companies required strategic branding and marketing support in order to successfully get off the ground. Ramos-Williams recognized the urgent need to help these companies develop, execute, and manage cost-effective strategic branding and marketing plans that would help them realize their dreams, survive, and thrive during a tough economy.

Over the years, CONRIC has grown steadily, attracted and maintained top talent, expanded its service offerings, received multiple industry and community awards, produced historic community events, created innovative projects, and partnered with hundreds of clients to help them break barriers and surge past competitors.

The agency has grown so quickly that it was forced to relocate to larger office space four times during a span of ten years. About to make its 5th move to a 6,500 sq. ft. office space in 2019, Ramos-Williams decided instead to follow her gut and global market trends. This led her to transition CONRIC into a telecommuting agency in early 2020, just before the COVID-19 pandemic was announced. The agency is currently well-positioned for continued smart growth to better serve its valued clients.

CONRIC believes that each and every one of us plays a vital role in sustaining a vibrant economy and quality of life for all. We walk the talk. The agency has made a long term commitment to support the community and the compassionate individuals on the CONRIC team starting with the agency’s founder are change-makers and community leaders who initiate and foster positive change, serving on numerous nonprofit and association boards. It’s our social responsibility.

Since 2007, CONRIC pr + marketing is proud to have donated more than a million dollars in marketing support, volunteer hours and monetary donations to numerous nonprofits, organizations and start-up companies that work to enhance the quality of life and economic development throughout Southwest Florida. We love Southwest Florida and feel fortunate to live, work, and play in this beautiful and generous community.

Social responsibility is part of the company culture. The president of the agency encourages team members to get involved, volunteer, or serve in some capacity as well as provides them with the time to do so. The entire CONRIC team is dedicated to giving back to the community, which has shown us so much of its love and support over the years. Some of the many nonprofit organizations and nonprofits CONRIC has given its support to over the years include Blessings in a Backpack of Southwest Florida, PACE Center for Girls, United Way, YMCA, Dress for Success SW Florida, Multicultural Centre of Southwest Florida, Hope Clubhouse of Southwest Florida, Golisano Children’s Hospital,  Southwest Florida Manufacturing Association, Greater Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce, and Above Board Chamber of Commerce.

Our support is ongoing. In response to COVID-19, CONRIC swiftly launched the #SWFLStrong Campaign to help connect, unite, and support businesses, nonprofits, and individuals throughout the region. The SWFL Strong Facebook Group grew its membership to 3,000 people in less than a month and is still going strong. The platform will continue to be a positive space to connect people and showcase all the amazing things happening in SWFL. The SWFL Strong Podcast is currently being produced and will air on the second and fourth Tuesday every month at 10 a.m. starting in September 2020.
