Connie Ramos-Williams, CEO and President of CONRIC PR & Marketing | Publishing is proud to announce that Angeli Chin, Marketing Director, has published an article entitled “Utilizing Technology to Enhance Communication and Collaboration” in The Distance Learning Journal. The article features research she completed while working toward her Master of Science degree in Education Media Design and Technology. Chin’s recently published research contributes to the growing body of knowledge on the ways in which technology and media is used to improve and enhance communication and collaboration in an educational setting.

As part of her graduate action research project, Chin worked with an 8th grade classroom in Nampa, ID, introducing web 2.0 tools such as Cacoo, Asana, Google Hangouts and Edmodo to students to enable them to brainstorm, interact, and collaborate on classroom projects. Chin facilitated an introduction to these tools, which the students then used to collaborate on a given project. After the project was complete, she measured the students’ success in using these tools for communicating and collaborating in an educational setting. She details her research and the results of her study in her article.

“This research and journey has been a powerful influence in not only the educational realm, but professionally in my presentations, public relations and more,” says Angeli Chin. “Using the available technology at our disposal allows the clients I work with to communicate more effectively and see improved relations through the use of digital media and web 2.0 tools.”

Angeli Chin is Marketing Director at CONRIC PR & Marketing | Publishing and has a diverse background in marketing, PR, graphic design, interactive media, public speaking, and project management.
