Sweeney is the perfect person to emcee these meetings because she is living it herself as she wades through all the problems of fixing her home that was destroyed during Hurricane Ian.
“Because of what I am going through, there are a lot of things that I have learned and one of the things I have learned is the importance of having a trusted team,” Sweeney stressed.
At the meetings there will be experts speaking about the 50 percent rule, about making sure mold removal is part of the plan, knowing about your insurance policies, finding experts to ensure the structure is sound and more.
“We want to make sure people know the importance of having a team,” Sweeney said. “There are many things that we need to learn, and we need to listen to the professionals and make sure they are the right professionals. It’s a very scary time for people who were in these storms. There are a lot of little things we can do. It’s a really difficult time, but with our faith, family and friends, we can do this. My goal is to make sure people have the tools and the education on how to build a team to protect themselves and their business.”
