The ever-changing lives of Southwest Florida businesses will be the topic of discussion for the October luncheons of the Above Board Chamber of Florida.
“Naples: The Many Lives of a Business!” will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, at the Hilton Naples, 5111 Tamiami Trail N. “Lee County: The Many Lives of a Business” will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 17 at the Crowne Plaza, 13051 Bell Tower Drive, Fort Myers.
As economic cycles change, successful businesses must adapt and the panel of experts at both events will break down the do’s and don’ts of staying alive.
In Naples, the panelists are: KP Pezeshkan, vice-president of Manhattan Construction; Guy Blanchette, former corporate development executive and Venture CEO; Trista Sue Kragh, owner and director of management operations at the Bayfront Inn 5th Avenue for over 24 years and Jeffrey Janeiro, managing member of the Law Office of Jeffrey M. Janeiro.
The emcee will be Rick LoCastro, president, RJL Consulting Team, and retired U.S. Air Force Colonel.
Event sponsors are Marc Devisse, president of Tri-Town Construction, and Vicki Thomas Tracy, COO of Gulf Coast International Properties. Zonta Club of Bonita Springs-Estero is the featured non-profit and will be collecting items for the residents of the Bahamas that were effected by Hurricane Dorian. Community Steward and Naples Historian Lois Bolin will also be at the luncheon to talk about Veterans Day.
The cost for the Naples luncheon on or before Wednesday, Oct. 9 is $30 for members and $38 for non-members. After Oct. 9, it’s $35 for members and $40 for non-members. Lunch is included in the price.
In Fort Myers, Steve McQuilkin, storytelling coach at The News-Press, will emcee the discussion with panelists: John Talmage, director of Lee County Economic Development Office; James J. Kelleher, Esq., Managing Partner, The Kelleher Firm; Marc Whitfield, tax director at Stroember & Company and Lourdes McLeod, owner of McLeod’s Construction, Paint & Restoration.
