Networking is so much more than handing out a business card. It’s building mutually beneficial relationships, making concrete connections and even seeking potential partners. Above Board Chamber of Florida wants to foster that atmosphere here in Southwest Florida. Their December meetings feature expert panels that will discuss the “Art of Networking.”
Local experts are ready to share creative and personal ideas with their audience. Talisha Faber, Associate Director of Business Development at Cushman & Wakefield Commercial Property SWFL, is one of the panelists who will divulge top tips during the meetings.
“It is building relationships, not being so quick to hand out a business card, but learning what makes each person tick,” she stressed.
Faber will give suggestions on self-branding and how it helps with networking, and the importance of getting to know the people around you.
“Never consider someone in your industry, your competitor,” added Michelle Borders, owner of Naples Network Services, and one of the panelists. “There is plenty to go around. You can never know enough people. There are never too many connections.”
