Harris joined Alair Homes as a partner in July of 2016. He graduated from the University of Florida in 2003 as a Master of Engineering in Construction Management. Harris has been involved in the Southwest Florida building industry for more than 19 years, managing over $50 million in high-end custom residential and commercial construction. In addition to his Certified General Contractors License, Glen is a Florida Certified Master Builder (FCMB), an elite status for Home Builders, Remodelers and Commercial Contractors who are dedicated to excellence in building and client satisfaction and hold themselves to a higher standard than required by the State of Florida for licensure.
The Gator100 honors the achievements of its alumni with a special awards event that was held on April 22, at the University of Florida. The recognition creates opportunities to increase networks with current and past honorees, inspire fellow Gators in the pursuit of Going Greater, and increases national, local and industry visibility. As a Gator honoree, Harris was also invited to spend the afternoon at the state-of-the-art UF Engineering Innovation Institute, which serves as a nexus of engineering innovation, entrepreneurship education, and experiential programs that transition almost 1,000 UF engineering technologies and innovative students annually to the marketplace. Harris heard about the latest program achievements and looks to collaborate with the program as they launch the new student company incubator which will link UF student startups to successful alumni entrepreneurs.
