For 50 years, Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner, Attorneys for the Injured, has been advocating for the rights of cyclists on our roadways. The law firm is a proud community partner of the largest cycling event in Cape Coral. The Tour de Cape is an event put on by the Cape Coral Parks and Recreation Department and includes a 5K run, 30-mile family bike ride, and 15-30-62-100-mile bike tours throughout the Northwest and Southwest regions of Cape Coral.
This event, which typically draws 1,000 participants, will take place January 21-23. The weekend-long event is filled with activities for the whole family and will kick off with a celebration at Cape Harbor on Friday, January 21 from 4-7 p.m., where participants can pick up packets, maps and t-shirts.
The 5K Run/Walk, for runners of all levels, will take place on Saturday, January 22, along with a 3-Mile Mini Tour for younger cyclists. During the junior ride, officials will perform helmet safety checks to keep our youngest riders safe.
Sunday, January 23, is the main event, which will include routes from 15, 30, 62 and 100 miles throughout west Cape Coral. Along the route, Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner will have a tent with snacks and water to support the cyclists on their journey.
Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner’s very own civil trial attorney, Dan S. Dalesandro, will be participating in both the 5K run as well as the 62-mile bike ride. His son, Jonathan Luke will join him in the 3-Mile Mini Tour.
“Growing up in Cape Coral has given me a strong sense of community,” Dalesandro said. “I am thrilled that our firm is not only a sponsor, but that we are able to participate in this event.” Dalesandro grew up in Cape Coral and graduated from Mariner High School in 1989 and believes in supporting the community both in and out of the courtroom.
