Collier’s Reserve members put employees first following Hurricane Irma

February 13, 2018 CONRIC PR

The Collier’s Reserve Country Club isn’t a community in name only. The day after Hurricane Irma, Collier’s Reserve employees from all departments worked together to clear debris at the Country Club, and community residents responded in kind. They raised $78,000 to benefit community employees who suffered devastating losses in the wake of the storm.

Many employees had little or no insurance coverage and sustained damage to their roofs and water intrusion in their homes. Some of them lost personal belongings and others were forced to relocate. Still, the selfless employees focused their time and energy on bringing the community back to normal.

Members showed their gratitude and proved how much Collier’s Reserve means to them as they collected money through the Hurricane Irma Employee Relief Fund, which was distributed among 45 employees who applied for help. All of them were presented with checks.

“On behalf of the employees of Collier’s Reserve, we cannot thank the membership enough for your generosity and exceptional kindness,” Colliers Reserve General Manager Nicholas von Hofen said. “We are truly blessed to be a part of such a wonderful family!”

Communication to the members through email and videos proved key to a successful cleanup, and thanks to a detailed hurricane plan, everyone was prepared and stayed safe.
