A life’s dream is about to become reality for Katie Nevans as she and international fashion designer Andy D’Auria announce the opening of the first U.S. boutique devoted exclusively to the DISMERO made in Italy brand that caters to sophisticated women on Black Friday Nov. 29 in the Bridge Plaza in Fort Myers.
Nevans, a Fort Myers resident who used to make her own clothes as a child and is devoted to the DISMERO brand, convinced D’Auria she was the one to sell the designer’s eye-popping but practical and comfortable line of sportswear, along with a unique brand of jewelry and other products, here in the U.S.
D’Auria is heralded as one of the world’s top stylists and the Fort Myers store will showcase all that is “chic casual” about the DISMERO brand. The Bridge Plaza is located off McGregor Boulevard and across the street from The Landings community.
Inside, women will find D’Auria’s fall collection of Italian blouses, pants, jeans, sweaters, jackets, as well as quality jewelry, handbags and something extra special – DISMERO’S exclusive extra virgin olive oil. There will be a feel of Italy throughout the store and shoppers will have a chance to sip on Italy’s sparkling wine, Prosecco, while they look through D’Auria’s dazzling collection. There also will be the opportunity to win gift cards.
To enhance the DISMERO experience that much more, Alessandro Cantoni, an artist for the company who designs the jewelry and handbag collection, as well as D’Auria’s daughter, Jennifer, CEO of the fashion production company for DISMERO, and her husband, Carlo Faggionato, who specializes in window displays, will be in Fort Myers earlier in the week, to help give the new location the right look and feel for the coveted brand.
An official grand opening celebration is planned in January when the famed Italian designer himself will be in attendance to meet and greet his Southwest Florida fans.
“I am so excited for women to experience what has made me such a believer and buyer of DISMERO fashions,” said Nevans, who has traveled to the birthplace of DISMERO in Italy many times to experience not only the unique culture of the country but to purchase the latest in D’Auria’s designs. “When women try on these clothes or buy the jewelry or experience the olive oil, they will be believers as well,” Nevans said.
Although DISMERO fashions are available in stores in the U.S., the Fort Myers store is the first to carry nothing but the international company’s exclusive collection.
“We sell quality fashion with pops of bold colors,” said D’Auria, who founded DISMERO in 1987. “Our fashion caters to women who lead busy lifestyles and crave comfort without sacrificing sophisticated style.”
