Forum to highlight benefits of ISO certification for manufacturers

April 1, 2019 CONRIC PR

Successful manufacturers are committed to organization, efficiency and improvement. The Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association (SRMA) invites business leaders to learn how to maximize those virtues through ISO 9001 certification at its next roundtable discussion, set for Wednesday, April 17 from 8-9:30 a.m. at CareerSource on 4150 Ford St. Extension in Fort Myers.

SRMA Executive Director Neil Kagan will serve as the keynote speaker for “Getting the Real Benefits of ISO 9001,” explaining ISO certification, the path businesses can take to get there, and how to get the most out of it.

“You are committed to providing a first-rate product, but do your clients understand just how committed you are? Does everyone in your supply chain? What about the public?” Kagan said. “This discussion will show you how you can become globally recognizable as a top-tier manufacturer.”

ISO 9001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a quality management system. Organizations, regardless of size or industry, use the standard to demonstrate their ability to provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

More than 1 million organizations from more than 160 countries have applied the ISO 9001 standard, and many of them have realized significant cost savings through greater efficiency.

The cost to attend the SRMA discussion is just $10 for members and $20 for non-members. Visit srma.net and click on the events tab to register. The site also lists member benefits and upcoming events, including a free tour of the Pelican Wire manufacturing plant on April 10.
