The Southwest Florida Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association invites business leaders and public relations professionals to attend the upcoming hybrid event, “The Intersection of Earned and Paid Media (AKA, How Your Paid Digital Marketing Supports Your PR),” on Tuesday, Jan. 12, from 11:30 a.m. – 1 p.m. At the chapter’s first-ever hybrid in-person/virtual event, attendees will hear from two speakers – one in-person and one virtually – discussing how to build relationships with the media to tell your story – and then how to use digital marketing methods to amplify it even further.
As public relations professionals, we all know the power of PR to tell our stories, sway an audience and get coverage for events and campaigns. But first you’ve actually got to get the attention of the media outlets you want coverage from! How do you do that as media outlets shrink and competition for attention grows? Hear from veteran editor David Plazas, currently the Opinion and Engagement Editor at USA Today Network Tennessee and longtime editor at The News-Press Media Group, on his tips for providing content that journalists want to write about.
Then, learn from digital marketing expert Kevin Johnson, Digital Marketing Director at Priority Marketing, on how you can truly make your message go further using the PR you’ve earned mixed with paid digital media strategies for any budget.
The in-person portion of the event will take place at TWO39 Work, 24301 Walden Center Dr Suite 300, Bonita Springs. The program is limited to 15 people attending in-person. Social distancing and a mask requirement will be in place. There is no limit on virtual attendance which will take place via Zoom.
