The Fort Myers-based boutique insurance agency has made a $1,000 contribution to Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s.
Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s is a Southwest Florida 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to improving the quality of life of people with Parkinson’s Disease and their caregivers. It serves more than 3,000 people affected by Parkinson’s each year at no charge. Iron Ridge’s donation will help to underwrite Neuro Challenge Foundation for Parkinson’s signature event, Cause 4 Hope, which will be held in Sarasota on April 23.
“When one of their board members reached out to me about being a potential supporter, he expressed his excitement about bringing even more service for people with Parkinson’s into Charlotte County,” said Norman Lutz, CEO of Iron Ridge Insurance Services. “I discussed it with some members of the Iron Ridge team, and they were all enthusiastic about supporting such a worthy cause.”
A commitment to philanthropy is a sentiment shared across the Iron Ridge family. While the organization makes a number of corporate donations each year, Iron Ridge annually asks each team member to select a cause special to them to support with a $500 gift. With 10 team members in 2021, the result was $5,000 in donations made to worthy initiatives in July. Supported programs and initiatives included Child Care of Southwest Florida; Faces of Courage, Inc.; Humane Society Naples; IMAG History & Science Center; and Midwest Food Bank, among others.
