Limited tickets still available for Madisen’s Match 10th anniversary

February 19, 2018 CONRIC PR

Time is running out on the chance to enjoy two days of top-flight tennis entertainment. Only limited tickets remain for this year’s Madisen’s Match events: the Golisano Children’s Hospital Pro Tennis Classic, the Madisen’s Match Legends Tennis Camp and Pro-Am, and the Madisen’s Match VIP Gala and Auction.

“Madisen’s Match keeps getting better,” founder Duane Chaney said. “The caliber of pros coming this year makes our 10th anniversary even more exciting, and the fact that the money we raise is going to improve the lives of those stricken with cancer makes it a can’t-miss.”

Sam Querrey, 2017 Wimbledon semifinalist and current world No. 12 player, is just one of the pros who will take the court beginning at 6 p.m. March 19 for the Golisano Children’s Hospital Pro Tennis Classic. The beautiful Florida SouthWestern State College Suncoast Credit Union arena will play host to the classic, which will make history as Southwest Florida’s first-ever indoor tennis event. The legendary 16-time Grand Slam champion doubles team of Mike and Bob Bryan will also be there, along with former top-ranked American Mardy Fish and former world No. 15 Robby Ginepri, among other decorated stars. Tickets start at an unbeatable bargain of $40.

The Bryan brothers will put on a show of a different kind the night before at the Madisen’s Match VIP Gala and Auction. They’ll rock out on guitar as part of the Bryan Brothers Band, which also includes Counting Crows drummer Jim Bogios. They’ll provide the musical entertainment for a Grand Slam-themed event that begins at 7:30 p.m. following a cocktail reception and silent auction at 6 p.m., all at the beautiful Miromar Lakes Golf and Beach Club. Individual tickets start at just $175 for an unforgettable evening.

The Miromar Lakes Golf and Beach Club will also be the site of the Madisen’s Match Legends Tennis Camp and Pro-Am. It starts with the camp at 8:45 a.m., as participants receive personal instruction from Querrey, the Bryan Brothers, Fish, Ginepri and all the pros who’ll take part in the Golisano Children’s Hospital Pro Tennis Classic that night. The students will get to put what they learn into action against their celebrity teachers in the pro-am starting at 1 p.m.

It’s all for the benefit of cancer treatment charities in Southwest Florida and across the country. The annual Madisen’s Match events have raised more than $650,000 since they began 10 years ago. The money has financed medical equipment designed to make cancer treatment more efficient and less painful, as well as the Madisen’s Match Activity Room at the Golisano Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.

“The impact that Madisen’s Match has made for children and adults dealing with challenging situations is the most meaningful part,” Chaney said. “We’re so grateful for the support from the community.”
