Luncheons to discuss finding the right employees and building a cohesive team
Assembling the right team of employees for your business and making them gel into one cohesive unit can be tricky. Making the processes a little easier are the topics of the June Above Board Chamber of Florida luncheon meetings.
On Monday, June 11, attendees of the Naples luncheon will hear from Southwest Florida business leaders to get a better understanding of the dynamics and strategies for dealing with an ever-evolving and diverse workforce. Panelists Vicki Thomas Tracy, Executive Director of Sales and Marketing at The Arlington of Naples; Robin Larkin, Principal at Performance Management Associates; Denise Perchall, Business Development Manager at PEO; and Lori Burke, Director of Human Resources at Sunshine Ace Hardware will discuss this issue along with recruiting and training in order to retain employees. Once you’ve hired the right team, it’s time to build the right culture. Far too often, a business owner does not choose a culture and one develops without the traits that the owner desires. This can ultimately lead to fewer clients and less business. On Thursday, June 14, attendees of the Fort Myers meeting will get a better understanding of how to build the right company business culture. Jeff Mulder, Executive Director of Lee County Port Authority; Mike Kiser, Vice President ASMB Recruiting, Gartner; and Florice Hodges, Community Outreach & Network Marketing for Best Homes Services will be the panelists for this high-level discussion. Steve McQuilkin, Storytelling Coach at the New-Press Media Group will emcee.
