Panel to discuss hiring solutions for local manufacturers

February 7, 2019 CONRIC PR

Labor shortages can disrupt production, inhibit growth and stifle company revenues. Manufacturers can learn how to prevent them and soften their impact at an upcoming Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association roundtable. “Hiring Strategies: Recruitment & Retention” will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 20 from 8-9:30 a.m. at Hodges University on 2647 Professional Circle in Naples.

“Securing and retaining qualified employees has long been an issue for local Southwest Florida manufacturers,” SRMA Executive Director Neil Kagan said. “This roundtable, facilitated by a panel of local CEO’s and directors, will identify and address methods to enhance your recruiting and retention efforts.”

Moderator Bill Welch, business services account executive for CareerSource Southwest Florida, will lead the following panel of hiring experts:

  • Mike Boose, human resources and organizational director of Arthrex.
  • Dorin Oxender, director of iTech.
  • Doug Gyure, CEO of S4J Manufacturing.
  • Ted Bill, CEO of Pelican Wire.

The cost is $10 for SRMA members and $20 for non-members. Sign up at srma.net.

Call Kagan at 239-560-0052 for further information.
