Revelers can look forward to an elegant, inventive take on surf and turf to kick off their New Year’s Eve celebration at Fathoms Restaurant & Bar, but only with a reservation for the limited holiday seatings at the popular Cape Harbour Marina eatery. Following the culinary stylings of Chefs Fabrice Deletrain and Benjamin Voisin, live music, a midnight ball drop and fireworks top off the experience to start 2018 on the right foot.
Maine lobster bisque will be paired with a seared lobster cake accompanied by meyer lemon crème fraiche and a crostini topped with the beloved French spread, rouille. The best of the land and the sea, represented by braised sterling silver beef short ribs and grilled sugar cane shrimp skewers, will be further elevated by silky black truffle whipped potatoes, red burgundy demi-glace and serrano-wrapped asparagus. A special Norman Love Confections New Year’s Eve dessert will be offered with a glass of champagne.
Local favorite party band Soapy Tuna plays from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m.
Reservations are required, and are expected to sell out, for either the 5:30, 7:45 or 10:30 p.m. seating, by calling (239) 542-0123. The price is $75 per person for this decadent four-course special menu.
