A proud Southwest Florida tradition returned last week when the D.R. Horton Rotary South All-Star Classic banquet took place Monday, Dec. 5 at Broadway Palm Dinner Theater. The banquet honored Lee County’s top senior football players, coaches, and cheerleaders.
About 300 players, coaches, families, Rotarians and community leaders attended the awards banquet. In addition to recognizing players’, coaches’, and cheerleaders’ talent and dedication, the banquet set the tone for the All-Star Classic football game, with inspiration and motivation from keynote speaker, former NFL All-Pro running back and University of Florida great Fred Taylor.
