Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association hosting events, webinars and industry programs throughout the month of May

May 10, 2022 CONRIC PR

The Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association (SRMA) is hosting several events, webinars and industry programs throughout the month of May. The SRMA works to bring manufacturers together to promote industry and individual growth through networking opportunities, making connections, sharing resources, and community involvement.

SRMA is hosting a Use and Sales Tax for Manufacturers Webinar, sponsored and presented by CLA, on May 19, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Do you know when manufacturers need to pay sales tax? Equipment? Raw materials? Consumables? If you did not get charged sales tax, do you need to pay use tax? The answers are not as black and white as you think! Let the experts at CLA explain the various scenarios and provide answers to your specific questions during this in-person seminar.

On May 21, SRMA invites members to join in the Manufacturer’s Night Out with the Tampa Bay Rowdies as they take on the Pittsburgh Riverhounds at 7 p.m., at Al Lang Stadium, 230 1st Street SE, St. Petersburg. This event is in conjunction with SAMA (Sarasota/Manatee) and BAMA (Tampa/St. Pete) manufacturing associations (RMAs). The Rowdies are an American professional soccer team based in St. Petersburg. Since 2017, the Rowdies have been members of the USL Championship in the second tier of the American soccer pyramid. The cost is $85 per ticket, to include access to a private dugout suite, catered food, beer, wine, and soft drinks.

A new member-only forum has launched – a great member benefit, and another reason to join the SRMA. Post questions, best practices, suggestions, and more and have fellow SRMA members chime in with answers and responses. The SRMA will also be posting resumes of candidates looking for employment within the manufacturing industry, and the forum will be used as the method of communication when the SRMA sends member-only messages going forward.
