FORT MYERS, Fla. (Sept. 6, 2022) –The Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association (SRMA) works to bring manufacturers together to promote industry and individual growth through networking opportunities, making connections, sharing resources, and community involvement.
The organization hosts monthly networking events, including its next meet and greet on Sept. 22, from 5 to 7:30 p.m., at LaBelle Brewing Company, 670 W. Hickpochee Ave., in LaBelle. Learn more about the SRMA and meet others in the industry, as the organization gathers with manufacturers in Hendry and Glades Counties to enjoy an evening of networking in a private upstairs banquet room. Participants will enjoy two craft beers and delicious appetizers. There is no charge to attend, but registration is required. The event is in partnership with Hendry County EDC and Glades County EDC, and is sponsored by First1Bank LaBelle and All Florida Industrial Fabrication.
In October, SRMA will be working with career and technical education directors in the area to organize student field trips at participating manufacturing companies. The goal is to help raise awareness of the incredible products created locally and advanced technologies that are creating desirable workplaces for today’s youth. Manufacturing and its economic impacts are seen and felt every day of the year. It’s important to acknowledge this key industry every October as Manufacturing Month and to inspire and open doors for future manufacturing professionals. If you are a manufacturer or educational leader who would like to participate, please visit the SRMA website and complete the registration form.
The SRMA also invites the community to view the September issue of Southwest Florida Business Today, which contains a special section, Manufacturing on the Rise. This eight-page pullout features contributions from more than 20 local manufacturing leaders in the industry. It is available in print or online here.
