SRMA to hold Manufacturers Roundtable discussion

Discover best practices for maintaining your buildings, hardware and software

The Southwest Regional Manufacturers Association (SRMA) invites its manufacturer members to attend a Manufacturers Roundtable discussion on Tuesday, August 18, from 8-9 a.m. at Storm Smart, 6182 Idlewild Street in Fort Myers. Peter Bagwell, Senior Product Engineer at Polygon Solutions, will host the free event, which will help manufacturers integrate best practices for maintaining their buildings, hardware and software into their business systems and processes. Southwest Florida manufacturing experts will answer questions about how to improve maintenance and share their experiences in ensuring the wellbeing of their businesses.

Manufacturing is growing in Southwest Florida, and SRMA is building a strong foundation in which to support its membership by providing education, resources, marketing, promotions, networking, grants, scholarships, internships, training, and an annual Made in Southwest Florida Faire. SRMA provides valuable contacts for networking and promotes an environment for industry growth. SRMA can help your business with expert advice through seminars and forums on topics such as Best Practices and Lean Manufacturing. SRMA also offers assistance with training employees, educating future employees and influencing legislation and regulation.

Upcoming events include a Manufacturers Roundtable on controlling variables in the work environment including noise, temperature, humidity, lighting and weather onSeptember 15 at Storm Smart with that company’s CEO, Brian Rist, serving as host. SRMA awards its Manufacturer of the Year Local Award at a dinner on September 24. SRMA will host its 1st charity golf event on October 30 at Coral Oaks Golf Course in Cape Coral.  Proceeds from the tournament will benefit Community Cooperative.
