Your Mother’s Day gift is on the house. Brunch is free of charge for mothers accompanied by at least one child on Sunday, May 13 at Gather, Fathoms and the French Press, Cape Coral’s premier waterfront dining spots.
Moms eat free from a special brunch menu throughout the day at Gather, on 5971 Silver King Blvd., and at Fathoms, on 5785 Cape Harbour Drive No. 106.
Brunch will also be served at no cost to moms from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at the French Press on 5789 Cape Harbour Drive No. 101, where reservations are required. Call 239-542-0212 to save a spot for your mom.
The whole family can score a deal on Saturday, May 5, when everyone who wears a big hat in honor of the Kentucky Derby will get a free drink at Gather, which is offering mint julep specials. Fathoms is the place to go that same day for a Cinco De Mayo fiesta. The Danza Azteca dancers will perform at 7 and 7:45 p.m., and there will be food and drink specials throughout the day.
A special delight also awaits at Gather, where a reservation-only “wineday” Wednesday tasting is set for May 23. Enjoy six wines and assorted cheeses for just $25 from 5-6:30 p.m. Call 673-9939 for reservations.
So much excitement is planned for May that the restaurants will need time to recover. Fathoms and French Press will be closed Mondays from June 4 until Sept. 24. But fans of all three restaurants can keep up with happenings online at fathomsrestaurant.com, thefrenchpressfl.com and gathercape.com.
