A campaign started by the Law Offices of Dennis L. Webb, P.A. to support families that have been impacted by COVID-19 has now garnered more than one hundred applicants since it began in July.
“Webb of Support” has been providing $1000 a month in gift cards, divided among four families or individuals, to help them deal with the financial struggles they have faced as a result of the pandemic. The law firm has distributed $3000 in gift cards from Publix and various gas stations thus far and will give out another $3000 by the end of the year.
The pandemic has left many individuals out of work and unable to pay mortgages, buy food and keep up with utility bills. Attorney and founder Dennis L. Webb hopes the firm’s gesture of kindness eases some of the hardships facing local families. The idea to help those in need came from Webb’s wife, Naelene Webb, who is a registered paralegal with the firm.
“Naelene and I are overwhelmed by the amount of need in the community because of the pandemic,” said Dennis Webb. “Each month we look at the people that have applied for assistance and we are pleased to be able to help. We encourage all those that need the assistance to continue applying through the rest of the year and we’ll do what we can to support our community.”
