FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 11, 2022) – As Southwest Florida recovers from the devastation of Hurricane Ian, community support continues to grow with the help of businesses such as Zaxby’s, both on U.S. 41 and at the Gulf Coast Town Center. The fast-food chain is open for business and has been providing lunch and dinner daily to the firefighters and rescue teams on Fort Myers Beach as they continue their efforts.
“Since the hurricane, we have provided well over 3000 meals to our first responders, school board and communities working to help with recovery efforts,” said Zaxby’s owner Rusti Clinger. “As a life-long resident and business owner, I’m dedicated to Southwest Florida and proud to be able to support our community heroes as the recovery from this devastating storm continues. Having lived in this community my entire life my heart is here. Our team will continue to do anything we can.”
Zaxby’s is also asking for customers’ support by bringing in relief items such as water, diapers, peanut butter, soup, personal hygiene items, shoes, and clothing to the two restaurants. Employees will be distributing the items in the Lee County area daily. Zaxby’s locations are at: 11791 S. Cleveland Avenue, Fort Myers, and 17500 Ben Hill Griffin Parkway, Gulf Coast Town Center, Fort Myers.
