In March, the world as we knew it was turned upside down due to the impact of COVID-19. As the world rapidly changed, the CONRIC team quickly came together to brainstorm and strategize ways to help businesses and the community survive and thrive during the pandemic. As a result of that meeting, we developed the #SWFLStrong campaign and SWFL Strong Facebook group. We also developed a plan to assist businesses host virtual events and webinars, as well as offer free consultations and a low-cost business booster social media package for struggling businesses.
#SWFLStrong
The #SWFLStrong campaign was launched to keep Southwest Florida businesses, nonprofits and families positive, calm and strong during the pandemic. A SWFL Strong Facebook group was set up to create a safe space online where all members of the Southwest Florida community could unite and connect to share good thoughts, community information, business developments and stories of goodwill. Members of the group let the community know about businesses that are open or closed, family activities, exercise routines they’re enjoying while at home, a special recipe, health tips and even where to buy toilet paper.
Going Virtual
To keep people connected and events alive and relevant during a time of social distancing, our team began working with businesses, nonprofits and organizations to set up virtual events and webinars using online technology. To date, we have helped to numerous clients host several virtual events and webinars that keep clients and members engaged while staying safe.
