Dress for Success SW Florida held its annual Shop for Success shopping extravaganza on Friday, November 6 at the Crowne Plaza Fort Myers at the Bell Tower Shops. 5,000 square feet of designer clothing and accessories were on sale for unbelievable prices, with items starting as low as $5.
Shop for Success has been on a run of record-breaking fundraising and this year’s event was no exception. This year’s event brought in an incredible $95,000, easily surpassing last year’s record-breaking amount of $73,000.
Founding Sponsor White House Black Market makes this annual event possible, and donates new merchandise representing a major portion of the tops, pants, skirts, dresses, suits, jackets, shoes, handbags and jewelry for sale to raise funds to promote the economic independence of local disadvantaged women. This year White House Black Market donated an unprecedented 85 boxes of brand new merchandise to support Dress for Success SW Florida.
In addition to White House Black Market, Chico’s FAS and other generous local retailers also provided brand new merchandise for this eagerly anticipated annual event, including Talbot’s and Macy’s. Gently used fashion items are donated by individual supporters of the organization.
