Encore Bank Raises More Than $17,000 for Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure

Encore Bank is pleased to announce that they raised $17,286 for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. The Encore team had more than 40 people participate in the walk on Saturday, March 7 at Coconut Point in Estero. Overall, more than 500 people from across Southwest Florida participated in the event.

Encore at Susan G. Komen (1)Eight members of the Encore team raised more than $500, with Team Captain, Patrick Miller raising an astounding $5273. The combined Encore Bank team finished as the third highest fundraiser for this year’s event.  Patrick Miller was the fifth highest individual fundraiser and Co-Captain, Linda Lowery was the tenth highest individual fundraiser for the event.

The Race for the Cure helps to raise funds for the fight against breast cancer. Except for skin cancers, breast cancer is the most common cancer among women in the U.S. Thanks to heightened awareness, early detection, improved treatment methods and increased access to breast health services, people have a greater chance of survival than ever before.
