Jazz on the Green, the popular Fort Myers music festival, will be resurrected on Saturday, March 10, 2018 from 5-9 p.m. at Six Bends and offer three notable music ensembles to raise money for Make-a-Wish Southern Florida. VIP tickets are on sale at an early bird rate of $75 from Nov. 8-30, just in time for the holiday shopping season.
Presented by Cushman & Wakefield Commercial Property SWFL, Jazz on the Green at Six Bends offers more than music. Guests may enjoy gourmet food, drinks, giveaways and dancing on the lawn for this all-white-attire event. The fundraising goal for this concert is to enable one wish each to be granted through Make-a-Wish Southern Florida to two local children with critical illnesses.
A limited number of VIP tickets are available at an early bird rate of $75 until Nov. 30. VIP guests can indulge in a true concierge experience, including complimentary heavy hors-d’oeuvres plus cocktails, an embroidered lawn blanket and VIP seating in front of the stage with room to dance. Any VIP tickets remaining after Dec. 1 will be available for purchase for $100. Premier and general admission ticket sales will also begin Dec. 1. World-renowned saxophonist Jeff Rupert with his quintet will be the evening’s headline act. Rupert has performed or recorded with Diane Schuur, Mel Tormé, Kevin Mahogany, Sam Rivers, Maynard Ferguson, Ernestine Anderson, Benny Carter’s Grammy-winning Harlem Renaissance and composed and arranged for many artists. He is director of Jazz Studies at the University of Central Florida and founder of Flying Horse Records.
While the crowd sways to the jazz dressed in their brightest whites, Jaguar Land Rover Fort Myers will display more than a dozen all-white vehicles lining Six Bends’ Thunder Plaza. Every ticket purchaser will automatically be entered to win one of two one-week rentals of either a Jaguar or Land Rover.
