Florida Public Relations Association state president to present on planning
The Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Southwest Florida Chapter is pleased to announce 2015-2016 FPRA State President Roger Pynn, APR, CPRC, will join the distinguished panel of speakers at this year’s Public Relations University (PRU) on Thursday, October 8 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Florida SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers. Early Bird pricing at $65 for members and $80 for non-members is available until Friday, September 8 at www.fprawsfl.org.
Pynn is president of Curley & Pynn Public Relations & Marketing Communications, a Maitland, Fla.-based agency with 29 years of staying power. He will address principles of good planning. “Planning” represents the “P” in the acronym RPIE – Research, Planning, Implementation and Evaluation – which guides PR professionals’ work. Pynn is a past president of both the Public Relations Society of America and Florida Public Relations Association chapters in Orlando.
The theme of the 2015 PRU is “Thirty Years of Slicing the PR-RPIE.” Attendees will have the opportunity to brush up on their RPIE basics, as experts share real-world case studies of how they have used the model to roll out efficient and successful campaigns.
PRU is an annual full-day professional seminar that brings speakers from across the state, and even from across the nation, to examine trends in the changing market and the fusion of new media with traditional communication elements.
