Central Bank Southwest Florida announces the retirement of Bill Dean who serves as the Fort Myers president of Central Bank Southwest Florida, and promotes Mike Durkin from his current position as the Naples office president to the position of Southwest Florida market president.
Mr. Dean has been in banking since 1964. After college, he started his banking career working with Wachovia Bank in North Carolina. In 1987 he moved to Florida and worked with TIB Bank in Homestead and the Keys. After hurricane Andrew in 1992, he and his wife Faye moved to Cape Coral where they reside today. Over the past few years he has proudly served as the Fort Myers area president of Central Bank.
Mr. Durkin earned his MBA in Finance from Florida State University and has worked in the banking industry in Southeast Florida from 1984 to 1990 and in Southwest Florida since 1991. He joined Central Bank Southwest Florida as president of the Naples office in June of this year when Central Bank Southwest Florida acquired the Bank of Naples. His banking experience includes real estate, commercial and retail banking relationships, as well as credit and loan portfolio management and training.
