June 16, 2016 CONRIC PR

At its recent 2016 State of Our Schools-Partners in Education breakfast, the Foundation for Lee County Public Schools named EnSite, Inc. one of two recipients of the Business Partner of the Year award, along with Suncoast Credit Union. The honor recognizes a business that is dedicated to partnering with individual schools and/or the School District of Lee County as a whole.

Marshall Bower, president and CEO for the foundation, said, “Partnering includes commitment to and follow through of volunteering and sharing of time, talent, and/or funding for projects or initiatives that enhance and enrich the public school experience for our students and educators. The goal of the partnership is ultimately student achievement. EnSite and Jon Romine epitomize these concepts through a whole host of involvement.”

EnSite has sponsored nearly $10,000 worth of events and has donated more than $100,000 worth of in-kind services and time to The Foundation for Lee County Public Schools initiatives and the School District. The firm has worked at the individual school level on projects including the outdoor classroom at Tanglewood Elementary and the transformation of the nature center at Gulf Elementary into a hands-on STEM learning center.

Principal Jonathan Romine serves on the foundation’s board of directors, the Take Stock in Children and Student Advocacy and Mentoring Partnership (STAMP) application selection committee and the Classroom Grants selection committee. He assisted with the Take Strides in Education 5k for the past five years and donates graphics and design services for event programs, logos and brochures. Romine serves as chairman of the Mentoring Department Leadership Council and served on the STEM@Work committee. He has worked with individual students as a Take Stock in Children mentor for eight years and as a STAMP mentor at Mariner High School. He is also a Watch Dog Parent Volunteer at Gulf Elementary.
